Memory Match
Tap a card to flip it. Two non-matching cards flip back automatically.
Concentration — memory match — is the simplest test of working memory there is, and this version keeps score honestly: your moves and your clock both count. Sixteen cards, eight emoji pairs, and a personal best that only improves when you are faster and more efficient.
How to play Memory Match
- Tap any card to flip it face up.
- Tap a second card. If the two emoji match, both stay face up and are dimmed out.
- If they do not match, both flip back after a short pause — remember what you saw.
- Clear all eight pairs to finish. Your move count and time are recorded.
Strategy tips
Do not hunt for matches at random. Work in rows: turn over new cards in a line so the reveal spreads systematically, and you will never lose track of a card you have already seen. When you find a pair, note the two positions of the emoji next to it — the second pass through the board is usually where the game is actually won.
Why play it here
Fast to load, no ads between flips, works with one thumb, and it is friendly for children. The timer and move counter make it replayable instead of a one-off.

Questions
Is Memory Match good for kids?
Yes — matching pairs is one of the classic early-childhood memory exercises. This version has no timer pressure during play, only a score at the end, so it is suitable for young children.
What counts as a move?
Each time you flip a second card, that is one move. The best score rewards both fewer moves and a faster time.
Can I play it one-handed on a phone?
Yes. The 4×4 board is sized to the screen so all sixteen cards are reachable with a thumb, and there is no text to read during play.
Is the same layout repeated?
No, the cards are shuffled on every new game, so there is no pattern to memorise between rounds.
